Quick Create

Quick Create sets up a whole behaviour on an object in one click: a ready-made setup, or a single reaction to something the object does.

Open it

  • Right-click an object in the Hierarchy, then Jungle > Quick Create...
  • Or open the menu on any component in the Inspector and pick Jungle > Quick Create...

Type in the search field to filter the list.

Setups

A setup adds everything a behaviour needs to the object: the components, the reactions, and any child objects, already wired to each other and to the object. The list only shows setups that fit: a tank alarm only shows on a Resource Tank, button juice only on a UI Button.

Pick Add. It is one undo step. If something on the object prevents it, nothing changes and the Console says why.

Setups that ship with the plugins:

Setup Shows on What it does
Grab Feedback An Attachable Object A quick pulse each time it is picked up or placed
Seat Feedback An Attachment Point A small pulse on whatever settles into the slot
Tank Alarm A Resource Tank A red light that stays on while the tank is empty
Button Juice A UI Button The button punches bigger and wobbles back on each click

React to something

Under React to, Quick Create lists every moment the object's components announce: an object starting to attach, a slot holding something, a tank running dry. Each has a Begins and an Ends button.

Pick one. Quick Create adds a Reactor if the object has none, adds an entry for that moment, and opens the preset list so you can choose what plays. Inside that entry, Context is the object the moment is about: the object entering the slot, or the slot an object attaches to.

Make your own setup

  1. Build the behaviour on a prefab: the components, the Reactor entries, any child objects. Point values at the prefab itself or its children; they end up pointing at the object the setup is added to and its copies.
  2. If the setup needs a component the object must already have, such as a Button, you can put one on the prefab so values can point at it. It is not copied; those values point at the object's own.
  3. Create a Jungle > Quick Create Preset asset. Set the prefab as its template, give it a category and a sentence of description, and list the full names of the components the object must have (for example UnityEngine.UI.Button).

The setup shows up in Quick Create on every object that has those components.
