Shape

Puts a shape or a 3D curve in the scene so other systems can use it: project onto it, slide along it, lay things out on it.

Add Component → Jungle → Spatial → Shape. Namespace: Jungle.Spatial

Overview

Pick a shape: Plane, Line, Circle, Arc, Disc, Ring, Rectangle, Mesh UV, or Curve Shape to wrap any 3D curve (Bezier, Catmull-Rom, Checkpoint, …). Select the object to see the shape in the Scene view and drag its points into place.

Any field that takes a shape can point here with Shape From Component, so several systems share one shape you edit in one place.

  2. Curve: the curve itself; select the object to drag its points in the Scene view.
  3. Local Space: the curve follows this object.

Fields

Field What it does
Shape The shape or curve.
U Maps To Inner / V Maps To Inner Swap or flip the shape's U and V for everything that reads it, without rebuilding the shape. Auto leaves them as they are. Ignore drops that axis.
Local Space On: the shape's points follow this object, so it moves and turns with it and works inside a prefab. Off: the points are world positions.
On Initialized Runs once in play mode, right after the shape is ready. Put a Line Renderer Command with Draw Shape here to make a line show exactly where the shape is.
